Big Stone Fruit - "after"

I started with a base coat of metallic gold. Then I brushed on layers of transparent oil paints. I love the look but it took forever for each layer to dry!

Big Stone Fruit - "before"

These faux stone large pieces of fruit sit in a large bowl on a client's coffee table. It's a great look but they really needed a color update.

ta-da! A whole new look!

This is a large vase that sits on a clients fireplace hearth. The colors in the room have changed, so I took it home to my studio to be updated also.

how true!

Even on a stormy day the clouds are beautiful!
While working on the wood trim I had to stop and take some photos of an approaching storm. A house painter on the job asked what I was doing. when I told him I was capturing the awesome clouds he said "awe, yes, they are our true!!!

faux effects

I've been busy working in a house under construction for over a week now. I'm applying a glaze to most of the wood trim and doors. If you look at the baseboard you can see the before and after effect.

Maggie's birthday gift

Boo is my cousin's daughter's cat. She's very special to me and I wanted to give her a special "sweet sixteen" gift.
